Germany ranked number one seven times

first_imgSource = e-Travel Blackboard: S.P This International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) ranked Germany as the number one meetings and conventions destination in Europe for the seventh time running.The German Convention Bureau managing director Mathias Schultze said Germany’s success as the number one meetings destination was attributed to its excellent value for money and broad range of high quality meeting hotels, convention centers and event venues.In addition, Berlin was ranked number four in the world wide city rankings behind Paris, Barcelona and Vienna.   Munich, Hamburg, Dresden and Leipzig were also able to increase their position resulting in five German cities in the top 100 of the world-wide ICCA rankings.“One major prerequisite for the large number of meetings and conventions is that Germany is setting standards world wide as a science and high tech destination,” Mr Schultze said.“The high standards that Germany has to offer in this field, are a sound argument that will have even more weight in the future,” Mr Schultze concluded.last_img
